The Association of Kosovo Municipalities will continue to be supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in the future.
This was confirmed on the occasion of the signing of the new cooperation agreement for the next four years “Support to the Association of Kosovo Municipalities”.
The purpose of continuing the cooperation and support of SDC for the Association of Kosovo Municipalities is to represent and protect the interests of municipalities through lobbying and advocacy, providing more advanced services and improving the performance of municipalities and capacity building in municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo.
This cooperation will also focus on coordination and cooperation with local government partners, further strengthening of the AKM in communication with municipalities as well as providing training services to local elected officials.
It is worth mentioning that this cooperation between SDC and AKM started years ago and will continue in the next four years.
