As part of its commitment to supporting the modernization of education at the local level, the Training Center of the Association of Kosovo Municipalities organized the thematic training on digitalization in education, with the participation of Directors of Education and officials of these directorates from 16 municipalities of Kosovo.
This activity aimed to strengthen the capacities of municipal leadership to better understand the role of technology in transforming schools and improving the quality of public education.
During the training, participants had the opportunity to discuss key aspects such as: the development of technological infrastructure in schools, the effective integration of technology in the learning and teaching process, the use of data and artificial intelligence in improving educational outcomes, as well as the security and protection of data in the digital school environment.
The Municipality of Shtime offered its experiences and served as an example and shared with the participants information about the fact that such a digital infrastructure is now being implemented in one of the schools of this municipality and served as an opportunity to share successful practices and experiences of digitalization.
The municipalities discussed ways of financing and implementing technological projects in education, the need for sustainable coordination between the local and central levels in accordance with the relevant legal framework.
The leadership role of the Directors of Education in these processes was emphasized as a key factor for achieving a sustainable and inclusive transformation.
The training took place in a collaborative and interactive environment, where participants shared their experiences, exchanged concrete ideas and engaged in open discussions to build a sustainable professional community that continues to function even after the end of the activity.
This training showed that the digitalization of education is not only a need, but a real opportunity for significant improvement of the education system at the local level.
