The Training Center (TC) of the Association of Kosovo Municipalities (AKM) manages the capacity development program of the association and aims to foster knowledge and innovation, improve skills and promote the effectiveness of locally elected and appointed officials by developing and providing a range of innovative and diverse trainings in support of municipal development, improving public services, strengthening local democracy and increasing citizen accountability.

Established in 2018, the AKM Training Center is responsible for developing, designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating various capacity development measures such as trainings, peer-to-peer exchange, study visits, and more.

The Training Centre aims to accomplish its mission by focusing on the following goals:

TC works closely with Kosovo municipalities, while being supported by numerous donors such as the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and others.
