The AKM Training Center develops, organizes, offers, monitors, and evaluates capacity development services in accordance with the “principles of adult learning”. These principles are explained in detail in the Trainers Guide which familiarizes all trainers contracted by the Training Center.
Standards are important to ensure a quality training offer for locally elected and appointed officials, while being implemented using standard forms at all stages of training — from development to evaluation. These standard forms have been developed by regional and international experts of the Regional Capacity Development Network (RCDN) and have been adapted and contextualized for the needs of the AKM Training Center.
The standards explain the preconditions and criteria for providing training in accordance with the principles of adult learning and talk in more detail about the Training Management Cycle. Consequently, the standards are required to be met jointly by the Training Center as the manager of the AKM Capacity Development Program to the contracted trainers to provide the training.
